Study on the Usability of Korean Tourism Organization’s Foreign Language Homepage using Eye Tracking Technique

Eye tracking technique is used in this study to measure the usability of Korean Tourism Organization’s foreign language homepage. First, eye tracking technique is used to measure foreigner’s usability on KTO’s homepage. Second, the measured usability of eye tracking technique and questionnaire are compared to investigate its difference. Third, measured values of eye tracking technique compared with the questionnaire are verified to see whether there are differences between the foreigners for each native country. The results indicate that there are significant differences between usability of eye tracking technique and questionnaire. Also, there are significant differences based on the nations. Foreigners’ usability on KTO’s homepage is judged to become an important data not only on the policy direction of KTO’s globalization, but also in the management of foreigners and foreign tourists.
