Internet services, data and their users are tremendously increasing day by day. There are many data sources available for users and they have to visit multiple URLs or install various mobile/desktop apps etc to access them. Visiting multiple webs/apps has become cumbersome task for the users now because of exponentially growing data sources & their credential to access them. Data Mashup is not the buzzword now but is an approach to use existing technologies to integrate needed data from many heterogeneous data sources dispersed throughout the internet servers and clients. This paper highlights various performance measures and focuses the need of data mashup not only to improve the performance of the global network but also to involve the ordinary user for IT system development. We observed the data transfer from various popular normal webs and compared it with the mashed up web. Our experiment and observations shows that the traffic of the global network can be significantly reduced by eliminating the unwanted flow of data using the concept of data mashup.
