Facial Expression Recognition Algorithm Based on LDN and SVM

This paper proposes a facial expression recognition algorithm based on LDN and SVM. The image in the JAFFE facial expression database is used as the experimental object. The image preprocessing is performed by the histogram equalization method. The LDN feature values of facial expressions are extracted, and then the facial expression feature histogram sequence is classified and trained, and the image was identified by using the trained classification model. Through the simulation test on the MATLAB platform, the experiment proves that the facial expression recognition method is feasible and effective.
