The tables of Parts 2 and Part 3 of this volume address different subjects, namely symmetry in Part 2 and the implications of symmetry changes for crystal structures in Part 3. To make the tables as convenient as possible for readers interested in these two different subjects, the presentation of the subgroups differs in the two parts. What the differences are and why there are differences are summarized in this Appendix.
