System level design for zero-IF UE W-CDMA receiver frontend using the available RFICs in the market

Wael Abdullah · The International Conference on Electrical Engineering/The International Conference on Electrical Engineering · 2008

Since the zero-IF architecture is attractive for its numerous advantages, the workpresented here has its focus on direct conversion (zero-IF) receiver front-endarchitecture for the wideband code division multiple access (W-CDMA), frequencydomain duplex (FDD) operation mode, where a full system-level design for the userequipment (UE) is performed. According to the RF requirements for the FDD mode, theused components used in the system are to be fetched and engineered. Performanceanalysis and simulation of the over all systems are achieved. The final system can beused in 3G mobile phones.
