Digital Color Image Watermarking Using DWT SVD Cuckoo Search Optimization

S. Ganesh Babu, Bhaarathi Ilango · 2018

This chapter presents new metaheuristic algorithm, called cuckoo search for based digital watermarking. In digital watermarking, a watermark is embedded into a cover image in such a way that the resulting watermarked signal is robust to certain distortion caused by either standard data processing in a friendly environment, or malicious attacks in an unfriendly environment. Some of the important types of watermarking based on different watermarks are discussed. They are: Visible watermarks: Visible watermarks are an extension of the concept of logos;Invisible watermark: An invisible watermark is hidden in the content. By using the advantage of discrete wavelet transform (DWT) and Singular value decomposition (SVD), the amount of embedded watermark information is improved and the watermark information is loaded in the low-level band of the DWT and SVD section. The simulation experiment results show that the digital watermarking algorithm proposed in this chapter has characteristics such as good transparency and accurate results of watermarking detection.
