Various machine learning techniques for defect prediction are characterize by their performance in within project and cross project environment by taking into consideration F-measure, Recall and Precision. This paper will include the comparative study of various machine learning techniques for software defect prediction in time. Data collected from different research papers, websites and books shows the practical applicability of various machine learning techniques for software defect prediction in time.
