Deployment Constraints based Routing over Wireless Sensor Networks

Jaspreet Kaur, Amit Kumar Bindal · 2018

Deployment of sensors under the constraints of environmental hazards is a critical issue because these factors have an impact over various parameters i.e. coverage area, link quality, battery life and wireless channel conditions etc. Researchers have developed different techniques for reliable and efficient sensor deployment in hostile area but each has its own merits and limitations. Existing deployment schemes (pre-deterministic/random deployment) do not bother about above critical constraints as well as the compatibility of deployment method with routing protocols is an other major issue. In this paper, we will consider all these factors and introduce an adaptive scheme, for the deployment of sensor nodes in the hostile environment.
