3D shape reconstruction of asteroid based on contour information obtained by vanishing point of the sun-light

In recent years, there are a lot of studies on reconstruction of three dimensional structure from images. The contour between asteroid and background can be extracted easily. However in the case that the image is not taken from the sun side, the contour line information cannot be extracted exactly. This paper, at the first step, proposes a method to reconstruct 3D model based on limb information by using vanishing point of sunlight vector.
