Sučelje EEG pojačala i sustava logiRECORDER

Mihael Varga · 2016

This thesis is part of the project that deals with studying, recording and processing of EEG signals and signals obtained by behavioural measurements (video analysis, i.e. facial movement analysis), and their comparison. EEG results are used as a reference for the examination of reliability of logiDROWSINE (Xylon d.o.o) system which concludes subject's (driver's) fatigue level based on the video analysis. The interface is utilized in order to transfer data of EEG amplifier to the logiRECORDER (Xylon d.o.o) system. Moreover, the data is saved in subtitles of the video in which the recording of the driver is located. The interface is realised by the microcontroller of the ARM company series STM32F415, that is to say, development board MINI-M4 for STM32. The interface enables real-time data processing obtained from EEG amplifier over the serial link along with their transmission via CAN to the logiRECORDER system. Communication is possible in both directions and thus one may control the settings of the amplifier using logiRECORDER. Furthermore, we can add the additional CAN node which then receives data, and sends it to the computer using the serial link where they can be displayed. The idea of the system is a comparison of signals obtained by Xylon's (behavioural) method and method of measuring the bioelectrical signals (EEG) themselves in order to synchronize them. As a result, it is possible to see and conclude in what way fatigue affects driver's motor functions. This system may reduce the number of traffic accidents caused by fatigue once the logiDROWSINE system is implemnted in cars.
