Non-invasive Acquisition of Bio-potentials for ECG
Alexandru Drosu, Oana Mihaela Drosu · 2018
This paper proposes a bio-potential measurement solution for the acquisition of electrocardiogram, by a system based on the USB-6218 acquisition board made by National Instruments. Information will be acquired in a non-invasive way through several electrodes applied to the human body at specific points. The bio-potentials will be taken and sent via the electrodes and connectors to the USB-6218 acquisition board. Implementation of the system is done without any external hardware amplification or filtering hardware. Data acquisition and processing have been done through the development platform and environment called LabVIEW using graphical code. After the development and implementation of the virtual acquisition and processing tools, a control and display panel has been developed, playing the role of user interface. Several subjects of different age, height, body mass, and sexes have been evaluated within this work, in order to observe a wide range of waveforms and significant signal parameters. The obtained results will be stored in a local database on the device that USB-6218 acquisition board will be connected to.
