Macro-diversity Enhanced Physical Layer Security
Yanjun Yao, Weilong Ren · 2019
The paper tackles with the issue of physical layer security. Inspired by the thought of soft handover mechanism in cellular networks, this paper considers utilizing both macro-diversity and multi-antenna gain to enhance security performance. Following the idea, transmit antenna selection (TAS) and cooperative communication strategy is proposed. TAS is used to take advantage of multi-antenna diversity, while cooperative communication is proposed to make use of macro-diversity from different base stations. Under the considered scenario, we first calculate the expressions of the probability density function of the SNR at the receivers. Next, we get the new closed-form expressions of non-zero secrecy capacity probability, the exact and asymptotic secrecy outage probability. Lastly, we derive the cooperation mechanism between the transmitters. Numerical simulation results demonstrate that the proposed TAS and cooperative communication scheme outperforms the TAS method without cooperation.
