The breakthrough potential of Internet of Things (IoT) technology has immense possibilities of delivering value through new business models across verticals, products and service offerings that include smart services in cities. However, security and privacy of IoT offerings are key concerns of users, businesses and city councils. Making IoT technologies reliable and secure is a key priority to realize the potential of this technology. This chapter discusses scenario-based security and privacy concerns and shows how we can address these concerns to make smart services more secure.
