Mobile edge computing is an emerging concept, introduced to bring the cloud services and resources to the user proximity and exploring them at the edge of the network. This helps to meet the requirements of low latency, location awareness, and mobility support. In this paper, we discuss the related work done in mobile edge computing and how it allows the cloud application services to be hosted alongside mobile network elements and facilitates the radio information in real-time. We have also explored the various machine learning methods/algorithms used by applications and services that are hosted on MEC platform. Deep learning method is one of the machine learning technique that have been studied in this paper to incorporate security measures in Mobile edge computing environments. Various categories of threats are analyzed and studied in terms of its strengths and implementation.
