Existing or traditional voting system thatmade useof human resource, paper andvoting post do not provide the user and election committees convenient ways of having an election. Eventhough the problem is well known by them, the lack of initiative and the mistrust of technology halted the innovation for better solutions. A few concepts of electronic voting such as SMS voting are not reasonable and costly for voters. The research of Electronic Voting System (EVS) is conducted in order to address the technical issues regarding the electronic voting system. This research paper will adapt the ontology onto the system framework and development. Issues and the method of electronic voting system will be taken into consideration. For the project work, the prototypewill be developedusing the open sourcesoftware.
