Study of Multi-Path TCP Scheduler to Suppress QoS Fluctuation for Improving WebQoE

Kensuke Noda, Yoshihiro Ito · 2019 International Conference on Electronics, Information, and Communication (ICEIC) · 2019

This paper proposes a new packet scheduler of MPTCP to suppress Quality of Service (QoS) fluctuation for improvement of Quality of Experience for a Web service (WebQoE). The scheduler estimates the fluctuation of QoS from that of the packet delay, and preferentially sends a packet to uncongested path to suppress the fluctuation. The authors implement the proposed scheduler and evaluate QoS by experiments under various environments. From the results, they show that the proposed method deteriorates QoS but suppresses the fluctuation as compared with the default scheduler under various environments.
