Online distance education course designers are situated to apply active learning strategies to support learner needs and expectations, provide meaningful and relevant experiences applicable to professional practice across a multitude of disciplines and contexts, align course assessments and learning outcomes, and enhance student performance and satisfaction to a diverse population.
