Toward a Smart Cloud Service Composition: Popularity-Driven Approach

Ilyass El Kassmi, Zahi Jarir · 2018

In web services industry the main issue, which constitutes one of the most relevant topics in cloud service search area in the last decade, is how to ensure a more appropriate cloud service composition fulfilling both user's functional and non-functional requirements (NFR). Certainly different approaches, methods, and techniques are suggested to deal with this challenge, nevertheless the originality of our approach lies in its simplicity since it is based on web service composition popularity. This popularity has the threefold advantage: (1) selecting for each abstract web service a more popular used web service taking into account its associate measurable NFRs, (2) insuring advanced interdependencies between measurable NFRs constraints, and (3) proposing a more suitable relationship between functional and non-functional requirements involved in the composition.
