Service design becomes one of the challenges of research in services computing area, which is a fundamental but unsolved research. A good quality of service design can improve cost efficiency associated with development, software testing and maintenance, and also improve the service oriented software systems quality. However, in practice, a good quality of services design is difficult to be achieved. Many service-oriented applications are difficult to be reused and to evolve. Hence, in this study, a systematic literature review is conducted to identify which design principle that has been purposed to be quality attribute. Furthermore, we also try to identify metrics for those quality attributes. This study provide a general overview for researchers about the most developed design principles along with the metrics developed according to existing design principles.
