Printed Sensors for the Internet of Things

Andreas Albrecht · 2018

This thesis contributes to the field of Printed Electronics and presents fully printed sensors on flexible substrates like plastic films. Conductive, isolating, and sensing materials were deposited by inkjet and screen printing as well as spray coating. Mechanical, environmental, chemical, and medical sensors, antennas, and circuit boards were printed and characterized. Hybrid sensor systems were assembled with conventional surface mount components for the use in the Internet of Things.
