Sets and Randolph Diagrams.
James B. Barksdale · 1970
In this exposition the author discusses the notion and application of Randolph diagrams (R-diagrams). The notions discussed here first became known to the author when Professor Randolph delivered a lecture during the summer of 1965 at the University of Arkansas. The concept of R-diagrams provides a rather clever and simple scheme for simplifying set-theoretic and/or logical expressions. Other applications in this general regard are easily conceived. The reader will find some of these applications illustrated in this presentation. r
