A Novel Circuit Coding Method for Circuit Evolutionary Design
Jingsong He, Pengfei Xia, He Wen · 2018
One of the primary problems in circuit automatic evolutionary design is the representation of circuits, which affects the performance and efficiency of searching. In this paper, a novel circuit representation method named graph coding is proposed. Three-terminal components acquire more freedom to connect with any nodes in this method. Reasonably searching space, i.e., rich structures and valid circuits, can be guaranteed in evolutionary algorithms in the proposed method, which is significant for improving the performance and efficiency. Three experiments on analog passive filter, amplifier and NAND gate with basic genetic algorithm testify the feasibility of graph coding method for representing valid structures, generating a wide range of circuits and designing Multiple-Input Multiple-Output circuits.
