Mobile Sensing Platform Using Smartwatch

Smartwatch is an excellent device for sensing many aspects of user activities. It is a wearable device that comes with many sensors and has great potential applications. A mobile sensing platform is proposed in this paper. The platform's architecture is a multi-tiered architecture consists of data and processing server, master-slave applications and sensing device in the form of a smartwatch. A working prototype has been implemented. The platform is tested with a scenario of a parent monitoring their kid. Further testing and improvement are still needed. Exploration of other scenarios can be done in the future.
