Latest developments in communication technologies have led to a new type of large scale resource-efficient wireless control systems. Cognitive radio network is an example of resource-efficient wireless network. Conventionally, in this system the sampling of communication on control plane is time periodic. However, it is desired to limit the communication between sensor and controller to the instances where the system is in transient. By allocating need based aperiodic sampling instances to control loop, a self-triggered control can utilize network resources more efficiently than conventional periodic sampled data system. In this paper, we proposed a self-triggered sampler for cognitive radio wireless networks, which will limit the communication between the sensor and controller. The performance results for proposed model are shown using numerical simulations.
