In recent years, governments and industry from many countries, including USA, China, Japan and various countries in Europe, have invested millions of pounds in the research and development of connected and autonomous vehicles (CA Vs) as well as supporting wide-scale introduction of electric vehicles to the market [1]. Although at its initial stage of realization, intense planning and investigation are being undertaken for CA Vs concerning innovation, inspections maintenance and manufacture, bringing changes to achieve the objectives of an advanced Intelligent Transportation System (ITS). Given the exponential rise of interest in the automation of vehicles, experts have called for a major research on numerous perspectives of the connected ITS ecosystem. One of the major concerns is the efficient and secure computation of vehicular data to deliver an optimal, safe and reliable transportation service.
