In Romania TETRA is a network used for emergency services, public safety and national security and it is very important that all the populated and unpopulated areas should be covered by TETRA network. In our days many people travel a lot for vacations, week-ends or business, and it is important that in case of an unexpected situation the authorities can communicate together for solving their problems. The way that all national system can communicate each other is represented by TETRA network. In order to make this possible we should have TETRA coverage all over our country, which is hard to be done due to our relief. In such cases, we can do something to extend TETRA radio coverage. This can be done using base station, repeaters or both, depending on the situation. In this paper is presented a case study for a zone that must be covered with TETRA signal. Starting from an existing situation there has been tried to solve coverage complains.
