During the past few years many organisations and governments plump for web-based technologies to accomplish their tasks by achieving cost-effectiveness and better application of existing resources. Cloud computing is the latest technology that provides computing and storage resources via the internet in a secured ambience. Organisations which don't aspire to spend more for in-house computing resources can get cloud computing as a better alternative. Governments are now moving towards the adoption of new technologies to provide their services to citizens more effectively and efficiently. Currently, governments encounter economic issues and fattening manipulations, so they need to find some economical ways for delivering their services to citizens without compromising the desired achievements. Cloud computing is rapidly increasing in scope as it allows government agencies to distribute their services very economically. This study emphasises on the adoption of cloud computing for governments for better achievement of their goals. We inspect benefits of cloud computing as well as challenges government agencies may face through detailed literature review and using Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) and Digital Object Identifier (DOI) models.
