Images are widely used in multimedia transmission and its security is an all-time need for the public. Image encryption has provided confidentiality of its content. The possibilities of attacks and decrypting an image are more on encrypted images. The algorithm uses different transforms to encrypt a digital image. To reduce the attacks on encrypted image and to make it indistinguishable, it is been hidden into a reference image, which creates a visually meaningful encrypted image. This paper presents an experimental work with various transforms to improve the image quality of the visually meaningful encrypted images. The idea of using the DCT with Arnold transform has given better results for image quality analysis than with the algorithm using Arnold transform alone. The original image can be decrypted and obtained by an authenticated personnel with a data hiding key.
