Supporting Software Maintenance and Evolution with Intentional source-code Views 1
Kim Mens, Bernard Poll · 2003
We propose the abstraction of intentional source-code views to codify essential information, about the architecture and implementation of a software system, that an engineer needs to better understand, maintain and evolve the system. We report on some experiments that investigate the usefulness of intentional source-code views in a variety of software maintenance, evolution and reengineering tasks, and present the results of these experiments in a pattern-like format.
