This paper implements several machine learning algorithms to determine a model of maximum accuracy for predicting flooded packets in SNMP networks. Flood attack is the method of forwarding packets from the source to destination using the outgoing path other than the source. Denial of service attack is a flooding attack that can bring down the network. So, to determine the flooding of packets we implemented algorithms like SVM (Support Vector Machines), Logistic Regression, Decision-Tree Classifier, K-Neighbors Classifier, XGB Classifier and other algorithms and have compiled the results for each algorithm in terms of accuracy.
