The vision for the IEEE Transactions on Biometrics, Behavior, and Identity Science (T-BIOM) can be summarized in three words—quality, speed and user-friendly. The quality of papers appearing in T-BIOM should be on par with those appearing in any of the top IEEE Transactions. I believe that each of the five papers appearing in the inaugural issue of T-BIOM easily meets and exceeds this standard. I invite you to examine the papers yourself, and I am sure that you will agree.
