The concept of Internet of Things (IoT) is increasing influence in the societal applications such as pollution monitoring, assisted navigation and tactical surveillance. Pollution monitoring plays an important role in drinking water due to the reason that water being polluted by variety of reasons. The development of statistical methodologies based on spatial and temporal hydrological data serves as the important aid in quality monitoring of the surface water. The proposed system implements the way of forming clusters in sensor groups. The clusters are analyzed using models based on hydrological space-time series of variables and help to detect the quality for drinking water. In the proposed system, the routing in clusters has to be done due to the existence of multi layer clusters. The system constructs the graphical structure of clusters using Destination Oriented - Directed Acyclic Graph (DO-DAG) model and uses the standard Routing Protocol (RPL) for implementing routing among cluster nodes, with two different motes is been analyzed. The system is tested with various water sources and the results are compared for two different mote implementation.
