Applying of Genetic Algorithm in Clustering Methods for Communication Networks Planning

A combined algorithm for automated finding the optimal configuration of cluster distribution is presented. Clusters are considered as idealized subnets of a multi-level computer network, which can have different methods of data transferring. The use of genetic algorithm is considered as a method for finding the best solution in a multidimensional problem with a large number of local minimums. In assessing the optimality, the distance from the center of the cluster to the place of its location brought into line to the expenses of its operation. The combined algorithm was software-implemented and was analyzed by results of solving a particular problem of transferring data.
