This chapter discusses the potential issues, breaches in Online Social Networks (OSNs). It also discusses the different threats in the scenario that affects the personal information of the user and harms the user in different environment. The lovechild of the WWW is social media, which comes in many forms like blogs, forums, business networks, photo-sharing platforms, social gaming, micro_blogs, chat apps, and social networks. Compared to adults, teenagers and young children are more vulnerable and exposed to OSN. The personal information are exposed and abused due to users’ daily lives on the OSN. In the current scenario, the social networking sites are used only for the communication purpose but also for marketing and advertising. Due to the widening scope of OSN, today it offers a strong support to the companies in providing much desired touch of concern. The attacker tries to infect the user contents/information through OSN by spreading malicious contents.
