Low-Cost Falling Detection System

The number of elders or aging society has been increasing due to the improvement of medical technologies. Falling is one of the main problems that can cause impairment of elders. This paper is focusing on the development of a low-cost falling detection system by employing two main sensors nodes and decision tree algorithm to observe and distinguish different falling situations. The experimental results exhibit favorable detection decisions with less false detection problems.
