Indonesian Traditional Weapons Recognition Using Backpropagation

Indonesian traditional weapons are cultural heritage that should be preserved. Currently, information about these weapons do not sufficient. This paper will be early work in recognizing the pattern of Indonesian weapons. We employed backpropagation algorithm to identify its pattern. The segmentation process used thresholding and canny methods. The result showed performance of this algorithm is maximum 0.181 for thresholding and 0.154 for canny. Although the accuracy is not high enough, this work can be a foundation for next works since it is a first research on Recognition of Indonesian Traditional Weapons.
