Database Snapshots

Apress eBooks · 2008

Database snapshots are read-only, static copies of a database, representative of a specific point in time. You can connect to these snapshots just as you would any other database, allowing you to use themfor reporting, testing, training, or data recovery purposes. Before you conduct large or potentially hazardous database updates, you can use database snapshots as a just-in-case precaution when youmay need to undo your work. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
