CSCB Tools: Tool for Supporting Synthesizing Hierarchical State Machines from Two Scenarios

Toshiyuki Miyamoto · 2018

In service-oriented architecture (SOA), an information system is composed of independent software components, which are called peers. We address a high-level synthesis problem for SOA-based systems, which is called the choreography realization problem (CRP). In SOA, an abstract specification of the entire system is referred to as choreography; a behavioral model of a peer is called service implementation. We study on the automatic synthesis of service implementations from a choreography. However, the products by automatic synthesis may be refined by software engineers, and, thus, understandability of the model should be minded. Our method synthesizes hierarchical state machine models so as to improve understandability. In this paper, we present a new version of the tool that can synthesize hierarchical state machines from two scenarios, whereas the previous version can only synthesize from one scenario.
