Noncircularity-Exploitation to Design the Sparse Array for DoA Estimation
Payal Gupta, Monika Agrawal · 2018
Designing a sparse array to enhance the signal resolving capabilities with limited number of sensors is always a challenging task. Sparse arrays provided the large Degrees of Freedom (DoF) to handle under-determined cases using the concept of virtual array. Here we propose three novel sparse array configurations to estimate direction of non-circular signals in underdetermined case. The proposed arrays provide the highest DoF for given number of physical sensors. Also, performance of proposed array is better than exiting sparse arrays. Numeric simulation are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed array.
