Knots and Graphs: Two Centuries of Interaction

We present several ideas and results which demonstrate a close connection, and useful exchange of ideas, between graph theory and knot theory. A part of the material is classical, a part is presenting known results in a new light, and some material is original, including a q q -polynomial of rooted graphs.
