An important tool for studying brain activity is electroencephalography (EEG). The electrical signals of the brain of men and women, measured with EEG, show certain differences. A study was made of the gender-dependence of the quality of classification operators on EEG signals with the help of different types of artificial neural networks (ANN) of imaginary and real movements of hands and feet and the effect of the type of signal filtering on comparative classification characteristics. ANN made it possible to identify gender differences in the classification of operator movements according to EEG signals: in most of the cases considered, the quality of classification is higher for female operators. The application of data filtering in the majority of considered cases improves the quality of classification.
