In recent years the Internet has rapidly developed and information is being converted into data. In other words, information on the paper surface is converted to data and managed by the personal computer. By converting it into data, companies can enjoy many merits such as cost reduction, improvement of business speed, avoidance of risks. One of the indispensable means for data conversion is OCR. OCR is an optical character recognition system widely used in general but there are cases where false recognition is made depending on environment and equipment. OCR makes it easy to recognize characters used for printing etc. However, it is not easy to recognize letters for deformed characters and handwritten characters. If you misrecognize it, you will be reading the wrong data. It can possibly cause huge damage to businesses in some cases. In particular, it may be deformed characters in FAX documents sent from overseas. Therefore, in my research, I am creating a character recognition system for characters of deformed Fax documents. We aim for 100% recognition rate using database and improved OCR. This is a system that search the database for OCR-recognized delivery data and acquires accurate delivery data. In this research, we perform pattern matching using database.
