In this paper, a non-invasive, magnetic wireless tongue - LED screen interface is developed for people with severe disabilities. Quadriplegic patients can access the screen with more flexibility. A small neodymium magnet placed on the tongue is used as a tracer to track the tongue movements. Due to tongue movements, the magnetic field inside and around the mouth get varied. The variations are detected by three pair axial linear magneto-inductive sensor modules mounted bilaterally on a headset. Using raspberry-pi, the information is wirelessly transmitted to a portable screen. The developed system is successfully tested on individuals for LED screen access to resemble different mouse functions.
