On Pattern Formation in Homogeneous and Nonhomogeneous Cellular Neural Networks

The aim of this communication is to review and discuss several aspects regarding pattern formation and mode competition in homogeneous and nonhomogeneous Cellular Neural Networks. The main idea is to emphasize the role of the Laplacian eigenvectors and eigenvalues with positive real part in pattern formation both in homogeneous and nonhomogeneous arrays for the spatio-temporal dynamics.
