Development of Pan Tilt Camera using ultrasonic motor

Large intestine endoscope has a problem of dead angle due to large intestine folds. Endoscope camera needs to expand their field of view. We propose the small pan tilt camera using ultrasonic motors. Pan tilt camera can expand the field of view by horizontal rotation and vertical rotation. In this paper, we do two things for the development of the small pan tilt camera. First, we build two ultrasonic motors and evaluate performance. Second, we build small pan tilt camera and control the trajectory. Since there is no sensor attached to this mechanism, the control method is feedforward control.
