Batch Workloads Management for Data Centers Considering Nodes Efficiency
Feng Zhu, Ying Lü, Zhaohao Ding · 2018
With the growing number of data centers, energy consumption of data centers has become a nonignorable problem in the field of energy internet. In the existing studies on data center workload management, there is rarely any work focusing on the energy efficiency of operation nodes level. In this paper, a model of delay-tolerant workloads allocation among multiple nodes is proposed to minimize the operation cost. Correspondingly, the load ratio of operation nodes is introduced to measure the energy efficiency of data centers. Considering both power supply and demand response sides, a MILP based model is formulated to solve the problem using experimental data and the effectiveness and performance of the proposed approach are examined.
