Seismic data processing results are the basis for seismic data interpretation and comprehensive study, and the ability of comprehensive study personnel to cognize geological analysis is dependent on the quality of such results. In the development of seismic data processing technique, with the continuous improvement of quality control (QC) technology, earlier QC based on qualitative analysis is gradually transformed into quantitative QC. However, the current situation is that there are several main processing systems which own respective limited QC means, which adopt different QC algorithms and among which the dimensions for calculation of QC attributes are divided, thus the results of different processing systems are not comparable with each other. In view of this, a QC system dedicated to procedurization of seismic data processing is researched and developed in accordance with prescribed key processing links and QC contents specified in each link. It is an independent system exclusively used for processing quality control. It has effectively implemented quantitative analysis and evaluation of the whole process of seismic data processing, aided processing personnel in formulation of reasonable processing procedures and in selection of processing modules and parameters with better effects and promoted the procedurization and normalization of processing QC management. It helps to improve the quality of seismic information processing results as a whole.
