Conclusions and reflections on OC engagement

Julie Hodges · 2018

This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the key concepts discussed in the preceding chapters of this book. The book outlines the practical implications for creating effective Organizational Change (OC) engagement. It purposes to refer to OC engagement at different levels in an organization. OC engagement needs to be fostered in order to build its resilience. The fragility of OC engagement is a function of how vulnerable individuals feel and are when they risk being involved in OC. OC engagement is a far more delicate phenomenon, hard to create and even harder to sustain. The commitment from leaders to improving OC engagement is a fundamental catalyst of change within an organization, for two reasons. First, it contributes to gaining management buy-in, and second, it ensures that employees, and other stakeholders, know that engagement with change is a business imperative and not simply another initiative.
