The report describes a concept for collaborative learning as a way of increasing the effectiveness of the e-learning process. The different team roles and their importance in building the well-balanced and effective team are described. The main functionalities of a model for collaborative e-learning module are defined and a technical solution is suggested. Most of the educational institutions in Bulgaria already use in their educational process e-learning environment, they have the needed infrastructure and it is easier and more cost effective if they can just add a module for collaborative learning, without the necessity to invest in completely new solutions. The suggested technical solution is called pseudo-cloud hosting network, because it uses some of the cloud technology concept advantages but is more effective in the described environments. These solution supports load balance of the connections via Internet and ensures high availability of the data. The module could be added as a part of any existing e-learning environment.
