The traditional SDN network what is based a single controller manages all network devices. In the large-scale environment, the controller fails to respond to transmission requests of SDN switches in heavy load conditions, which reduces the transmission efficiency. Although the multi-controller SDN network can solve this problem, transmission path selection and synchronization topology are cruxes to achieve the multi-controller SDN network. In this paper, we propose an inter-domain transmission path selection of multi-controller SDN network. Firstly, we designed a multi-controller collaboration model to reduce the load of each SDN controller, which divides the network into multiple domains and manages the current network. In this model, the topology is synchronized by the cooperation between the upper dynamic resource coordination plane and each controller. Secondly, according to the global topology and user requests, a low-latency and high throughput transmission path is generated by using the path selection algorithm, which improves the transmission efficiency. Finally, we verify the validity of the approach and the model by simulation experiment. The experimental results show that the approach can handle the request information correctly and generate an optimal transmission path in a short time. Meanwhile, the SDN controller load is reduced and the transmission efficiency is improved.
